DAY 01

Arrival in Luang Prabang

Welcoming at Luang Prabang airport by the driver and transfer to the hotel. Free day to rest.

DAY 02

Visit Luang Prabang, its temples and markets

Guided cultural tour of the city by private vehicle: morning market, Royal Palace, main temples Vat Mai, Vat Sene, Vat Xiengthong, Vat Visoun. Walk through local markets and the shopping street. Climb up the 328 steps of Mount Phousi to admire the magnificent panorama. Visit of the night market.

DAY 03

Right bank of the Mekong River and KuangSi Waterfall

Crossing the Mekong by boat. On the opposite bank, away from tourists, the atmosphere is totally different. Visit of a potery village as well as the old temples Vat Xiengmène, Vat Chomphet and Vat Longkhoun. In the afternoon, transfer to the breathtaking KuangSi waterfalls. Free time in this heaven-like place, relax, swim in the turquoise water, exploration of the surrounding jungle or visit of the bear rescue center.

DAY 04

Traditional boat ride and rice paddies

Drive towards northern Laos through countryside. Arrival in Nongkhiaw and traditional boat ride to Muang Ngoy. Discovering the banks of the NamOu river is a moment that remains unforgettable. Walk in the heart of paddy fields dotted with karst mountains and meetings with local farmers. Visit ThamKang cave and Tay Ead village. Dinner and stay overnight in the village.

DAY 05

Immersion in the rural life of an ethnic tribe

Discovery of the daily life of inhabitants during this day immersed in Laotian rural life with villagers. Participation in daily activities that change depending on the season. Visit of a nearby village of the TayXam ethnic group. Typical lunch and dinner cooked with locals.

DAY 06

Village of Weavers and Beautiful Landscapes of Nongkhiaw

Morning walk in the heart of the Laotian countryside and visits of villages before boarding a traditional boat on the NamOu river. Visit of a weaving village before reaching Nongkhiaw. Afternoon free in this small town, located on both banks of the river between two mountains. It is an awesome place for relaxing and relaxing in a hammock.

DAY 07

On the way to Pakbeng, small villages and great panoramas

Day drive to Pakbeng via Oudomxay. This beautiful route crosses breathtaking mountain scenery and authentic Tay Lue, Khamu and Hmong tribe villages. Arrival in Pakbeng by the end of the day. Settlement in your hotel, then you can relax quietly on the banks of the Mekong.

DAY 08

Mekong cruise

Day cruising on the Mekong by traditional slow boat privatized to Luang Prabang. The river is dotted with mountains, large cliffs, and limestone rocks dug by the monsoon rains. On the way, visit of the famous PakOu caves which host thousands of Buddha statues. Arrival in Luang Prabang by the end of the afternoon.

DAY 09

Phoukoune Mountain and Farm Tribes

Scenery of fabulous mountains on the road up to 1,200 meters above sea level, visit of villages and small local markets including the one specialized in vegetables at Phoukhoune. Arrival in Vang Vieng in the afternoon and canoe trip on the Nam Song River. This small town is located in an exceptional place surrounded by karst mountains and rice fields.

DAY 10

Nam Ngeun Lake, karst landscapes

Discovery of Tham Chang, one of the largest caves in the area. Then, departure to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. On the way, visit of a fish market, the beautiful Nam Ngeum Lake, and a salt extraction site. Arrival in Vientiane by the end of the afternoon.

DAY 11

Cultural tour of Vientiane and its temples

Visit of the Laotian capital and its many temples: Vat Sisaket, HoPraKeo Temple of the Emerald Buddha, That Luang's Golden Stupa, Patuxay Arch of Triumph and Vat Simeuang, which is the most religiously animated temple of the city. Discovery of Thongkhankham vegetables market and walk along the Mekong river at the end of the day. It is the place where local people gather at sunset.

Last moments in Laos
